Ondée : le cardigan

Well hello everyone!

It has been a very long time since my last post (almost one year) and this blog has been awfully quiet BUT a lot has happened during that time so let's say that I have a good excuse, OK?

*This will be a longer post than usual but only because I have been away for so long*

I have relocated last September and could not take any of my crafty things with me except for my iPad and pencil in order to practice my calligraphy.

I then managed to get my sewing machine and serger back over the Christmas break (yeaaaaah!). Unfortunately I had to leave all my sewing books and patterns behind except for four Deer and Doe patterns. Luckily, I bought 6 more from them on Black Friday as well so I have enough to keep me busy for a little bit. I have actually already made a few garments with them and I will try to make a post in order to show them (but if you follow me on Instagram, they are there already).

So as I am slowly trying to get my crafty life back in shape and this blog alive, please bear with me.

And now for the main event....Ondée!

When I met Ondée...

I think I've fallen in love and it's so exciting! We met each other a few months ago and I think it was love at first sight...at least for me.

It all started last year when I was looking for a dress pattern and could not find something that I liked. All I wanted was a simple, plain straight dress I could sew without any trouble for the beginner/intermediate that I am. I had bought a pattern in a shop but was disappointed (we will discuss that later on). And then I came across a picture of a dress in my Google search and that was it! I had to get it there and then, but that too is another story that I'm keeping for later.
