Weekly mani

This week's mani was inspired by a picture I've seen on Pinterest. Unfortunately, I have closed the page by mistake and cannot find the source of this manicure. If anyone recognises it, please give me a shout!

I have used the following colours, all from Kiko:

243 - Rosso Prugna Nail Lacquer

215 - Pearly Light Pink Nail Lacquer

839 - Teal Blue Quick Dry Nail Lacquer

Back to school

Yep! Kids went back to school today here. I wish I could have seen my nieces and nephews going to their new classes but I had to go to work.

This day can be two things...depending on which side you're in:

• a nightmare if you have no kids because it means the end of the summer holidays and the start of traffic jams again on your way to work
• freedom if you have kids because you get rid off them for 5 days a week (sometimes less though) and don't have to struggle with how to entertain them during the day and having childcare issues lol

I'm part of the first group for now :-)

Manicure for the week

A simple but yet elegant manicure this week. Starting again slowly as my nails have been on holiday for the last couple of weeks but as work has started again, I could not let them bare :-)

Another water marble mani

Practice makes perfect so need to keep on trying :-)

Water marble manicure

I had tried this about a year and a half ago but it never worked. The varnish would not stay on the nail. I don't know what I have done this time but it worked a bit. Still need to improve on the technique but very pleased with the result.

Pink October 2013

October is here again (time flies, don't you think?!) and with it Pink October or how it is best known "Breast Cancer Awareness Month".

 

Although pink is not really my colour, I will try to stick to it for the month. I am fortunate enough not to have been affected by this directly within my family but do know people affected by other forms of cancer and know how hard of a struggle it is.
