Weekly mani
This week's mani was inspired by a picture I've seen on Pinterest. Unfortunately, I have closed the page by mistake and cannot find the source of this manicure. If anyone recognises it, please give me a shout!
I have used the following colours, all from Kiko:
243 - Rosso Prugna Nail Lacquer
215 - Pearly Light Pink Nail Lacquer
839 - Teal Blue Quick Dry Nail Lacquer
Have a good week everyone!

Back to school
Yep! Kids went back to school today here. I wish I could have seen my nieces and nephews going to their new classes but I had to go to work.
This day can be two things...depending on which side you're in:
Here is a "back to school" mani for this week. It is a mix of different pictures I have seen on the internet and things I wanted to do.
This day can be two things...depending on which side you're in:
- a nightmare if you have no kids because it means the end of the summer holidays and the start of traffic jams again on your way to work
- freedom if you have kids because you get rid off them for 5 days a week (sometimes less though) and don't have to struggle with how to entertain them during the day and having childcare issues lol

Momiji doll inspiration
I do not remember how I ended up on momiji dolls but...it got me inspired.
I had never done faces or small details before and I must say...I'm not good at it :-)
I will need to practice more I guess.

Pink October 2013
October is here again (time flies, don't you think?!) and with it Pink October or how it is best known "Breast Cancer Awareness Month".
Although pink is not really my colour, I will try to stick to it for the month. I am fortunate enough not to have been affected by this directly within my family but do know people affected by other forms of cancer and know how hard of a struggle it is.

Blossom trees manicure
After a failed attempt at drawing roses on my nails last night, I didn't even bother putting a top coat and decided I would make a new mani tonight. and in the afternoon it hit me: I wanted to try blossom trees.
Here is the result: I wasn't quick enough in applying the top coat so the gradient is not as "smooth" as it should be.

Sunday interlude
Today's manicure is a Pebble manicure, inspired from Meliney's tutorial.
Doesn't quite look like hers but satisfied with the result. I think my black polish wasn't thin or runny enough. I've had it for a while and hadn't done some proper manicures for some time so it got a bit old and despite having used some nail polish thinner...it is still quite thick.
Here are the polishes I have used. From left to right: nº275 (Kiko), nº323 (Kiko), nº310 (Barry M), nº369 (Kiko), nº105 (Kiko), nº103 (Kiko) and a white polish from Natural Collection (sorry, can't remember the number and it's gone from the bottle lol)
And as no mani ever goes smoothly with me....I had to get those bubbles I always get when I use the Gel Look top coat from Kiko....
Hope you all had a great weekend!

This weekend, my niece had her BFF's birthday party. So her mum did her nails:
...and hers too!
That's all for today :-)

Sunday interlude
Quick and simple!
I used the Barry M Foil Effect nail polish in colour 320 (Gold) and a simple black nail polish for the checkboard design.

Sunday interlude
I tested the limited edition varnish from the Glitter Nail Lacquer limited edition. I found that one absolutely gorgeous when I saw it in the shop: it is the Bold Red (colour nº405)
I had to put two coats to make sure the nail was well covered and I couldn't see the nail through. It is really nice on the nails and the colour is bright enough (this picture doesn't do it justice). It lasted for a long time as I kept it on for about two weeks before it started looking a bit old.
The only downside to it is when trying to remove it: it is a nightmare! It took me forever to remove it AND I ended up with glitters everywhere.
In all, I am still debating whether I will wear it again purely because of the hassle it is to remove it and get rid off the glitters. But I have to say that it is so gorgeous that I will probably use it again very soon.

Sunday interlude
I tried something new today. Yes! it is my nails today...I think. I might post another one later tonight if Madame L sends me hers :-)
Anywho! I have tried the "Caviar manicure":
Not sure how it will turn out tomorrow as I am not convinced thos little beads are going to last long on the nails. I have put a top coat on it, just in case.
That's all for tonight....or maybe not lol we shall see!
